The SJMJ necklace (consisting of a golden cross and shoelace) symbolizes that a SJMJ sister is carrying God's perfect love more than gold, therefore she is willing to suffer and endure it everyday in the spirit of simplicity and availability to be sent.
The ring reminds her of her vow of fidelity. She must always bear in mind that, just as a ring has no end, so also her love for Jesus may not have an end. (SBL pg 79)
